2025 Year in Review: CES Insights

in December 15th, 2025

By Nina Callanan, Managing Director of Communications & Human Relations

Throughout 2025, CES energy experts shared insights on a variety of topics including energy master planning, rate design and the act of changing the peak window to benefit the future of the grid, the U.S. renewable energy sector and how it’s evolving amid policy shifts, large building ordinance requirements in Massachusetts, the OBBBA vs. IRA energy policy changes, and more.

We also took you behind the curtain of CES client meetings, shared one of our core sustainability reporting products – our CES Carbon Tracker, and unveiled our new weekly Market Summary design. At the risk of burying the lead, we also celebrated our 25-year milestone as a company, pausing to reflect on the number of clients we’ve helped over the years, and giving thought to what we’ve learned, how we’ve grown, and the values that navigate us day after day, month after month, year after year. In other words, our three pillars: independence, market expertise, and our focus on being a long-term trusted partner to our clients.

2025 reminded us that energy is about navigating a rapidly changing landscape where priorities are shifting and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Likely, that volatility will join us in the new year. Through it all, CES is here for our clients. We offer highly customized and personalized energy advisory services in an increasingly automated world. We are there when our clients need us. We are available to listen, explain, strategize and implement bespoke plans to reduce risk, take advantage of opportunities, and mitigate cost increases in the face of uncertainty and volatility. Most importantly, we remain true to the reason we wake up every day and do what we do: helping our clients achieve their energy and sustainability goals.

Before we turn the page on 2025, we’re featuring a quick recap of articles and important energy topics from the year. Visit our website and view our complete library of CES Insights blogs, too. We look forward to bringing more your way in 2026.
