Matt Gamache joined CES as an Energy Analyst in 2014. Since then, he has held positions as Senior Energy Analyst, Managing Director of Renewables, and was promoted to Vice President, Analytics & Operations in 2022, and to Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2024. Over the past decade as part of the Analytical team at CES, Matt has been involved in nearly all aspects of CES service offerings. He has significant experience in distributed generation and net metering projects, power purchase agreements, renewable energy procurement strategies, utility tariff analysis, energy budgeting and price forecasting. His primary interests are the renewable energy transition, energy regulation, geopolitics, and commodity markets. He holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College in Government and Environmental Studies and a Masters of Energy Regulation and Law (MERL) from Vermont Law School.
