The NEPOOL 12-month electricity strip gained 4.5% week-over-week to $86.34/MWh. All of the calendar strips for 2027 through 2029 saw a rise over the past week, ranging from 3.6% in the near term to 1.5% in the outer year. The NYMEX prompt month went down $0.04 week-over-week, landing at $2.87/MMBtu. The NYMEX rolling 12-month strip increased by $0.06/MMBtu to $3.23/MMBtu. Storage levels saw a net increase of 32 Bcf for the week ending June 17th. The 12-month rolling strip for Brent was up 2.9% week-over-week to $83.68/barrel and for WTI by 1.2% to $77.74/barrel. Renewed tensions in the Persian Gulf are causing upward pressure in crude oil markets.
