The NEPOOL 12-month electricity strip rose 1.83% week-over-week to $79.66/MWh. Calendar strips for 2028 and 2029 saw a slight decline over the past week, while the near-term 2027 strip increased. The NYMEX prompt month went up $0.07 week-over-week, landing at $2.73/MMBtu. The NYMEX rolling 12-month strip stayed the same week-over-week at $3.13/MMBtu. Storage levels saw a net increase of 37 Bcf for the week ending August 7th. The 12-month rolling strip for Brent was up 4.6% week-over-week to $80.85/barrel and for WTI by 4.5% to $76.20/barrel. The U.S.-Iran MoU expires today with no agreement in sight.
