Market Summary Released for October 15, 2012

Synopsis of Last Week's Markets

Crude oil saw an overall gain last week due to a jump on Tuesday that brought near-term months into the low $90s. Oil has hovered around the $90 marksince September 19th. On the bearish side, economies in Asia appear to be slowing through the end of 2012 and into 2013. However, tensions in the Middle East and positive job numbers are keeping oil prices bolstered. Natural gas rose steadily throughout the week. An increase in demand forelectricity generation has continued to pare down gas stocks, and forecasts are calling for increased heating demand for late-October. Heating demandfor the East is projected to be about average over the course of this winter.

Natural Gas has dropped precipitiously at the beginning of this trading week.
