Synopsis of Last Week's Energy Markets

Crude oil gained last week as the EIA reported an eighth week of decline in crude stocks at Cushing, Oklahoma, and the US and G7 nations agreed to work together on economic sanctions against Russia, which could impact energy exports.  Natural gas prices gained early in the week and then peaked on Thursday following a New England snowstorm, a bullish EIA report and the expiration of the April contract. Inventories dropped below 1 trillion cubic feet for the first time in 11 years.
