About the Pricing Associate Position

A pricing associate works closely with and provides support to CES’s account managers in the pricing process. The pricing associate will handle electricity, natural gas and other fuels pricing, send out communication regarding the bid process to suppliers and customers, and will ensure that CES provides accurate and reliable information and data to our clients as well as suppliers.

Day-to-day tasks include sorting documents, entering data into the database, requesting data via email and phone, and making sure that all necessary paperwork was received. After a familiarity with CES products and processes has been reached, he/she would in addition to the above tasks, request pricing from suppliers, communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, make sure that a bid analysis includes all necessary items and work with a CES account manager and/or a customer during a contract process.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Detail Oriented, enjoy working with numbers/statistics
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Adapt to a flexible, fast-paced work environment
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude

The right person should be familiar with MS Office - especially Excel and Outlook, should have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and be able to take initiative. The ability to work well in a team setting is also a must.

This position is full-time and is based in Portland, ME. CES is looking to fill ASAP.
